Small Animal, hmm, Rat water anyone?
So I work on the CalPoly campus and I was forwarded the following e-mail at work last week:
<snip>
I have been told by Dave Ragsdale in Environmental Health and Safety
that they are advising people on campus not to drink the water until
further notice. There is apparently a small animal in one of the
campus' water tanks, and it has been isolated, and staff are working to
remove it.
Dave said that this is not a health hazard, but they are just being
cautious. They will be flushing the water lines and testing the water
just to be safe. I will keep you posted on what I know.

</snip>
In my experience people in the public health field only say 'small animal' when they are afraid to say rat.
Oh, and if any of you are wondering, I drank the water anyhow. I am a strong believer in the power of dilution. :)
Cheers!
